Adam Olkin

My name is Adam Olkin, and I’m a videographer, cinematographer, editor, and director based in NYC. I graduated with Honors from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film and TV Production in 2022.

I’ve worked with numerous arts companies in capturing and translating their theatrical and concert pieces for the screen, as well as putting together promotional content for their organizations. Working with students both at Princeton University and NYU over the pandemic has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career as I got to help them creatively bring their theatrical pieces to an audience that would not have been able to see them in person. I am also proud of my work sharing the content of a destination arts festival called The Princeton Festival for three years.

My passion for film and theater started young, making short films with my siblings and recreating iconic scenes from books and movies. I was introduced to film directing with my first film, “The Dark I Know Well”. Since then, I’ve directed, shot, and edited many short films, as well as sketch comedy and music videos; all while working as a freelance videographer, editor, and a myriad of crew positions on sets.

Through it all, my passions and work philosophy remain the same. I love collaborating with artists and working to bring your work to life, and I believe that a respectful, professional, and kind process leads to the best product.
