Adam Olkin

Adam Olkin is a New York City-based director, cinematographer, editor, and videographer known for blending emotional depth with striking visuals. A graduate with Honors from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts (BFA, Film & TV Production, 2022), he has built a diverse body of work spanning narrative filmmaking, music videos, and theater-to-film adaptations.

His short film Chapped Lips (2023), exploring the complexities of human connection, has reached hundreds of thousands of viewers on YouTube, and his upcoming project, Reunion, follows two young adults confronting past trauma at their high school reunion. Adam has also directed Dark I Know Well, Friends in Low Places, the music video Bring You Home, and various other short films and music videos each reflecting his commitment to authentic, emotionally resonant storytelling.

Beyond narrative work, Adam has collaborated with numerous arts organizations to bring theatrical and concert performances to the screen, including working with students at Princeton University and NYU to help them adapt their stage productions for virtual audiences. He also spent three years capturing and sharing the work of The Princeton Festival, a destination arts festival.

Looking ahead, Adam is eager to take on larger-scale projects. From making short films with his siblings as a child to directing, shooting, and editing a variety of projects. Adam’s passion for film and theater has been a lifelong pursuit. No matter the project, he believes that collaboration, respect, and professionalism lead to the best creative outcomes.
